My son used this kitchen for years, and now it has been rehomed , and it is still going strong! Very good quality! Makes an awesome Christmas gift!I ordered this on December 12th when there was only one positive review of the product. I wish I had waited a few days to read the many negative reviews before buying it. Amazon said that based on the companies shipping schedule it would arrive before Christmas (December 18th). Well on the morning of December 18th, the day it was to arrive, I wrote to the company and asked why it still hadn't shipped. I received a form email back but did see that it shipped that evening and that it would still make it before Christmas. So, being as this was my daughter's Santa gift we waited and waited and waited until we realized it wasn't going to arrive. In fact, it didn't show up until December 27th, 9 days after the supposed arrival date! Very disappointing! Only one star for the company as the shipping was S L O W and their response was a form response that didn't have anything to do with my email to them.As far as the kitchen itself, many of the parts had chipped corners and scratches in the wood. The sticker on the fridge door was also all scratched up. Some of the holes were not pre-drilled far enough so my husband found long screws with pointed ends and used those instead. I believe much of the damage was due to putting too many pieces in one box with minimal padding and then also shipping it in a very flimsy outer box.Yes, as many others have mentioned, it takes forever to put together. My husband built our house and is pretty skilled when it comes to assembling these things! Even though he likes to take his time to make sure everything is right, it did take about 4 hours to complete. Keeping in mind that's it's a child's toy and that it would likely get scrapped up relatively soon, we did decide to keep the product despite all the of the scratched pieces. If you are looking for a really well made wood kitchen this may not be for you.Pros: My daughter likes playing with itCons: Shipping was terrible and slow, pieces were damaged, length of time to assemble, cost compared to qualityUPDATED: After writing this review a representative from OJ Commerce (the seller) contacted me and offered a small monetary refund and they also refunded my shipping costs. Even though the first time I received a form letter, this time it was personalized. I appreciate the small token of their apology! I've added a star to my review as I still feel the product could use some improving.I was unsure because of some of the reviews but the box came, damage free and all pieces were in the box and damage free. Mine was white with no color problems. It took about 2+ hrs to assemble with just me.. maybe would be faster if I didn’t have my 3 yr old daughter “helping”.. but it didn’t seem like long when I was working.. the longest part is just getting the pieces prepped but after that they went together pretty quickly. It is a hit and she hasn’t stopped playing with it since we completed it.. and my 7 yr old son even got in on the “cooking” fun. I got it for 100.$ and that was a good price that I could find for what it has ( stove, sink, micro, dishwasher and frig) and the size, especially the height. I was having trouble finding one that would be tall enough ( in the 100$ budget). She loves it and I would absolutely buy this again.Bought this for our toddler because we wanted a big kitchen that she can grow into and share with siblings and friends. The unit itself is excellent and worth the premium price. It rates 4 on durability because a few of the accessory parts like the faucet are not very solid.2/5 on Ease of assembly. It's not bad if you read everything and have assembled items in the past, bit by no means "easy" and it takes several hours of solo work. If it's your first time, get help. There are a lot of pieces and parts! Also there were 2 or 3 steps where the pictographs didn't match reality (more or fewer screws/dowels needed). And not all my pieces still had the number stickers on, so there was some matching game with the instructions.I would've given this kitchen 5 stars (because it's adorable and my son loves it) I only have 2 small complaints. One is that the stove dosnt make any noises which kind of sucks but no biggie. My other complaint is that the one door latch seems to keep coming off for the freezer. It's like the screw is too small to hold it.Anyway it is super cute and my son loves it“White” is undoubtedly actually a pale lavender. I was hoping the reviews I read on this were just knit-picking, but it’s just blatantly lavender. The graphics (pre-stuck stickers) seem rather outdated & faded, even brand new. And it’s minor, but the “oven time” and “microwave time” are different and it drives this mom bonkers. The sink is also easily and noisily removed by little hands, but I suppose it doubles as a “baking dish.” Those things aside- it’s a great, sturdy kitchen. Plenty of cabinets that are easy enough for our 13mo old to open, realistic burners with nobs that “click” & a backsplash that is a true statement for a kid’s kitchen. This product is made with cheap material. I had it not even a week, and my children broke it, & no I don’t have destructive children. The pieces are just made of junk and were easily damaged. My son and daughter were so excited to use it (1&3) & now it’s just going to end up in the trash. I would look elsewhere for a toy kitchen.
